Learn MoreTo obtain information needed to effecively perform the Navy League's mission of Educate, Advocate and Support, NH Council President Kevin Galeaz attended "America's Future Fleet: Reinvigorating the Maritime Industrial Base", on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Navy League Headquarters. This event was jointly ran by the Center for Maritime Strategy and the Naval War College. This event featured panel discussions and speakers including ADM Lisa Franchetti, CNO; ADM James Foggo, Dean, Center for Maritime Strategy; ADM Kevin Lunday, Vice Commandant, USCG; VADM Robert Gaucher, Commander, Naval Submarine Forces; RADM Darryl Walker, President, Naval War College; AUKUS and MIB leaders.
The NH Council NLUS along with the City of Manchester hosted Commander Ralph Lufkin, Commanding Officer, USS Manchester (LCS 14) Blue along with three of his crew members for a visit to their host city, Manchester NH. Ties were strengthened with the Manchester community as well as with the Manchester West High School Navy Junior ROTC unit. Events included setup and parking assistance at the NH HS Rowing Championships in Pembroke, keynote speaker at the 249th Navy Birthday Ball, a depoyment presentation at Manchester Community College and a second deployment presentation at Manchester West High School along with Senator Jeane Shaheen. We are honored to have served as the host during this historic visit.
